Primo Catalano

“A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects.”

- Robert A. Heinlein

New York born, California raised. Creativity isn’t just about the act of creation but how I see the world. I believe that is what drew me to photography. I will always love photography but I have found myself exploring many forms of creation. Woodworking to theater.

Creation for me is about adding something to the world.

I place quotes with all of my series of work because nothing I create is in a vacuum. These are the words of those who have influence my creations. This is not limited to my photography.

I will be adding another section to the site on my physical work. Props for photoshoots, armor for post-apocalypse blood sports and more.
